Ep129 Dec 19/24: The Carr brothers Show, Jack, Jeff, and Jody discuss upcoming Christmas plans and their current professions and Jeff's update on his future plans. They highlight their mother's famous Potato Dressing recipe and showcase a how-to video of mom cooking and preparing the dish which is great for any roasted meat dish but specifically for mom's annual Christmas Eve gathering. Warren Maddox, executive director of Fredericton shelters, joins to discuss the shelter's increased demand, now serving around 700 people annually (up from their usual 325) and also military vets seeking their services is up 300%, and Warren also discusses their new transitional housing initiatives. The Shelters are close to opening a 30-bed "out-of-the-cold" overnight shelter after planning since June. They also address the impact of the Canada Post strike on their fundraising, projecting a $75,000 loss. Maddox emphasizes the importance of community support and the need for flexible housing solutions.
