Deven inspired us with his humour, positive attitude, dedication, perseverance, goal setting and finding joy in community and sports.

He discussed his journey with sledge hockey and spoke fondly of his connection with the Pomeroy family from Oromocto, who have become like family to him. He's current equipment manager for the U18 Fredericton Caps hockey team and past equipment manager for the UNB women’s hockey team. He also speaks highly of Gardner MacDougall former longtime coach of the UNB men's hockey team.

He's looking forward to growing his coaching/leadership credentials, working for the Fredericton Fire Department and participating in the 2025 national sledge hockey championships in Dartmouth.

-Jack is a former MLA (2008-2014), reporter, comms director and currently CEO/Team Lead of the Jack Carr Real Estate Team.
-Jody is a lawyer and was elected for 19 years (1999-2018) and is former minister of the departments of Education, Post-Secondary Education, Labour, Immigration.
